You can either withdraw your funds or automatically renew your CD at the interest rate and APY in effect on the date of maturity. You can also renew it with a different term. You will have a 14-day grace period in which you can withdraw funds from your CD without penalties. To withdraw your funds, you’ll need to contact Barclays Bank (U.S.) in writing or by phone before the grace period ends. There will be a email reminder 30 days before your CD matures
Any withdrawal of principal prior to the maturity date will result in a penalty of 90 / 180 days worth of interest for 3 or 6 or 9 or 12 or 18 months CDs / 24 or 36 or 48 or 60 months CDs
